“A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.” — Ayn Rand
(As I looked at the first Z, saw how many there were, and got to the author line, I knew right away it was Ayn Rand! This doesn’t sound like the typical Ayn Rand quote though. When I was much younger it seemed that everyone pronounce her name like Ann, but now all I hear is Ine. Does anyone else remember when it was generally pronounced Ann? Clue/Question: The sprinter’s constant bragging about his world’s fastest time sounded like a – – –
Answer: BROKEN RECORD
(Excellent stinky pun! I’m sure that many of you think that my comments sound like a broken record. LOL! I do try to follow a certain format, but I also strive to make most of the comments relevant to that day’s puzzle. And of course I usually will put my personal spin on things, because . . . it’s my blog! Guess what though? This expression that so many of us all know and love is likely going to die out with us. Kids don’t know records. Just like they don’t know cassettes. Heck, they barely know CDs! All of their music today is digitally downloaded. Spotify and whatnot. Records are like landlines to them. Rotary landlines! It’s a brave new world, and we’re the ancient warriors!
No new clue words today! But again, all of the jumbles appear to be new. Saw them all immediately. The answer letter layout was a terrific twelve letter jumble. Sufficiently cryptic. The entire setup made this a no brainer for me.
Basic track event cartoon. Definitely got the point across. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
