Is Vienna Sausage Keto? | Sure Keto - The Food Database For Keto

(Smells like Ben Gay . . . and Vienna sausages.  My grandfather was of German descent, so I think he ate a lot of Vienna sausages.  My grandparents’ house always smelled like those things.  I think my Grampa liked them with beer.  I believe his beer of choice was Ballantine Ale.  My Dad would bring us there when we were young.  Grampa never really cared much for kids, but Gramma was awesome!  She made a great apple kuchen!  Sometimes we would just eat peanut butter on saltines.  Simple pleasures can house the greatest memories.

No spring chicken clue words today.  They’re all as old as the hills.  Two of the jumbles came up as new, but we’ve seen “siyfet” and especially “sudeo” before.  That just may be Hoyt’s favorite jumble!  I don’t think any of them were all that tough.  The answer letter layout was a tense ten letter jumble.  Beautifully scrambled.

Cards gotta be shuffled, and old folks tend to shuffle.  Is that because it’s easier than picking up your feet?  Or, is it out of an abundance of caution?  I know that balance can be an issue for the elderly.  C’mon old timers!  Chime in.  Is it one or the other, or a combination of the two?  I’ll be waiting for your words of wisdom.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

    Shuffling is for many reasons:

    1. balance is less certain.
    2. safety is an issue.
    3. raising one’s legs takes more effort.

I’m a few years your senior, Unc, and I…
…resent being referred to as “old timer”. How dare you, young pup ! 🙄

Fairly easy puzzle except the old I before e except after c rule made me spell feisty wrong. I knew I needed the I and their are exceptions to the rule. I seen that had one of your UN words today unc. Cheers all

So, a combination it is! Figured as much. LOL to lwc, on resenting “old timer”!! But . . . HOW DARE YOU REFER TO ME AS A “PUP”!!! I am a man, sir! NOT a dog! I am SO offended, that I have a mind to report you to the ACLU! Alert the media!!! 😄😜😉 — YUR

I think the whole I before E except after C thing is more for words pronounced as E, Randy. I don’t think it applies to words pronounced as I. But what do I know? English is a tough language! Speaking of English, the returning champion on Jeopardy is a high school English teacher, and had a nice lead, screwed up in Final Jeopardy! And, the category was American Authors! I sussed – correctly – that the answer was Mark Twain, but she guessed Nathaniel Hawthorne! When she gets back to teaching I’m sure she is going to catch some flack! — YUR

    Yes, I am old !

    I turned 70 this month.

It never occurred to me I would be around this long. None of the men I my family that I physically take after have come close to this age.

My grandfather, the man I depended on most to explain the world to me, passed at 59. His three younger brothers made to 60 and 61. Only the women lived to 89, 90, and 91.

    I miss them all.

How are your elders doing ?

Mom passed at nearly 84. Her mom made it to 79. Dad died at only 71, but his mom made it to 95! So, I guess I still have a few good years in me. I just turned 64 one week ago. You’re as young as you feel, lwc! I still have one older cousin, who’s about 77 or 78. I try to concentrate on my wife and kids, but there are times when I do feel kinda orphaned. — YUR

I hope you’ve been vaccinated for COVID-19, lwc! That would be a positive step in seeing your next birthday! — YUR

I’m not shuffling yet. But I do do balance exercises, leg exercises, etc. to help me keep moving forward.

lwc, I am fixing to join you in number in a few months. Can’t quite get my head wrapped around it! Wait! What??? Wasn’t I just 30??? EGAD!

And Unc—old-timer will not be in my vocab! OY!! LL
