Practice Tips For Little League Baseball – SlingPitcher

Visual Description:  Pitching instruction.

Clue/Question:  The young pitcher struggled to throw a breaking ball because there was a – – –

Former little league star Mo'ne Davis, fame and a future

(Excellent baseball pun!  Not stinky, really.  And, it is seasonally appropriate!  I’m loving the Major League Baseball season, so far this year.  My Mets are in first place in the National League East, and the guys’ Cubbies are in first in the NL Central.  My guys weren’t able to pull off the four game sweep – as we lost to the Cubs tonight – but we won three out of four!  And, the Mets are doing it with a number of their starters on the Injured Reserve List.  So, I’m a happy camper!

No new clue words today.  Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me.  But we have seen “vnare” sometime before.  I thought that “rmyigl” was fairly challenging, but I really struggled to unscramble “rmnaat”.  I had to back into it.  First time in a very long time.  Good thing it was the last clue word.  I had enough of the answer letter layout, without the ANR, to see CURVE, and then figured out LEARNING.  A very impressive thirteen letter jumble though!  Good job, Hoyt!

Fine little league-ish cartoon.  I like that Jeff decided to mix it up a little bit, and went with Scramblers, instead of going with Jumblers.  A nice, challenging Jumble!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Hi UR…The team name, the “Scramblers” and the #54 on the Coach’s jersey sleeve is homage to the original puzzle, started in 1954 and dubbed the SCRAMBLE by it’s creator, noted cartoonist Martin Naydel.
Gotta love it! Hope all is well. Stay safe and have a great day! ⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

Only the online tests, Jamie. If you’ve ever taken it, there’s a level of frustration. 50 questions, but probably just as many categories. You don’t really know the category until right before the question comes up, so you can’t really mentally prepare yourself. And they never tell you how you did. I haven’t taken it in a couple of years, even though now it’s pretty much on demand, instead of annually. The wife has been bugging me to take it again, but I haven’t felt compelled to do so. — YUR

Gee, Unc ! How are you a Mets fan and not the Yankees ?
Is that even legal in New York ? 🙂

NYC, Chicago and LA are all cities that have more than one baseball team, lwc. (Some might argue that the Capitol District also has two teams) You should know by now that no one tells yer uncle who to like/follow. Especially in NYC, there is a strong love/hate thing between the two teams and their fans. — YUR
