The Holocaust and 'Why?' Elie Wiesel's provocative answer. - Chicago Tribune

Hope is like peace.  It is not a gift from God.  It is a gift only we can give one another.”   —   Elie Wiesel

(Works for me!  Religions have caused plenty of wars, but that’s just various men’s interpretation of “God’s will”.  He/She doesn’t start the wars, so he/she isn’t responsible for any peace.  People need to take more responsibility for their actions.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Practice Tips For Little League Baseball – SlingPitcher

Visual Description:  Pitching instruction.

VNARE  =  RAVEN,  CNEUL  =  UNCLE,  RMYIGL  =  GRIMLY,  RMNAAT  =  MANTRA   —   Giving us:  VENUCLEGRIANR

Clue/Question:  The young pitcher struggled to throw a breaking ball because there was a – – –

Former little league star Mo'ne Davis, fame and a future

Answer:  LEARNING CURVE

(Excellent baseball pun!  Not stinky, really.  And, it is seasonally appropriate!  I’m loving the Major League Baseball season, so far this year.  My Mets are in first place in the National League East, and the guys’ Cubbies are in first in the NL Central.  My guys weren’t able to pull off the four game sweep – as we lost to the Cubs tonight – but we won three out of four!  And, the Mets are doing it with a number of their starters on the Injured Reserve List.  So, I’m a happy camper!

No new clue words today.  Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me.  But we have seen “vnare” sometime before.  I thought that “rmyigl” was fairly challenging, but I really struggled to unscramble “rmnaat”.  I had to back into it.  First time in a very long time.  Good thing it was the last clue word.  I had enough of the answer letter layout, without the ANR, to see CURVE, and then figured out LEARNING.  A very impressive thirteen letter jumble though!  Good job, Hoyt!

Fine little league-ish cartoon.  I like that Jeff decided to mix it up a little bit, and went with Scramblers, instead of going with Jumblers.  A nice, challenging Jumble!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
