Answer: “BIG–KINI“
(‘Cause she’s a big woman! Well, female ape actually. But . . . Mrs. Kong has got it going on! I guess it’s true what they say: “It’s good to be the king!” I wouldn’t be surprised if this Jumble pun idea was submitted by a fan. And, their version – no doubt – rhymed Kong with . . . THONG! But, seeing as this is a family puzzle/cartoon there was no way the guys were going to try and sneak that one by. I wonder if the guys have a secret blue file? You know, just for kicks-and-giggles.
All old favorite clue words today. Two of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen both “cigin” and “norleg” in Jumbles gone by. I didn’t think that any of them were tough this morning. The answer letter layout was a scant seven letter jumble. Sufficiently cryptic. All the I’s and the cartoon were the big hints.
Great cartoon of the very friendly looking Mr. and Mrs. Kong. Jeff must have been inspire by “Magilla Gorilla”, and “The Great Grape Ape Show”. I don’t remember either one of them having a wife, or even a girlfriend. Magilla did have Ogee, but she was just a little girl, and she was his owner. I don’t remember a wife of Kong though either. I think he swore off women after Fay Wray. And, who could blame him? As always, I’m digging the classic sinking sailboat on the horizon.

Rumor has it Kong did take a wife, upon the advice of Henry Youngman. He told him to quit monkeying around with Little Women, and settle down with someone worthy of his stature. Her name, if memory serves, was Ape-Suzette. Kong graciously bought her a beautiful wedding dress, made by Dolce and Banana, paid for her hair and makeup to be done by Vidal Baboon, and also picked out that striking and very ape-pealing bikini that she’s seen wearing. And after the wedding, they “took a plane” to the exotic location we see here today in our cartoon. And I heard it through the grapeVINE, that they now live quietly…happily together…”Gorillas in the Bliss”. Finis…🦍🙋🏻♀️

I was so young when I saw Fay Wray in “King Kong” that I didn’t appreciate how beautiful she was; I just saw a cute little white woman.
Kong was the only character at the time that I found interesting. I just wished the little white girl would shut up and stop screaming ! 🙂
