“Control over change would seem to consist in moving not with it, but ahead of it.” —Marshall McLuhan
(Nice trick, if you can manage it. But I think that we all have our own personal cut off age, where once reached we are constantly behind change. Especially, when it seems to ever increase in speed! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Happy birthday to Ian Hunter! (More Rock, kiddies!)
Clue/Question: The connected paper dolls wanted to be on their own, but they weren’t – – –
Answer: CUT OUT FOR THAT
(There you go! Now that’s a good traditional stinky pun! Paper dolls are a little obscure these days. They used to be a very common activity for kids, like cutting out paper snowflakes. It just seems like most of today’s children require some kind of handheld device in order to entertain themselves. Who knows? Perhaps the Covid pandemic has renewed an interest in them!
No new clue words today. However, three of the jumbles appear to be new. We’ve definitely seen “lucka” before though. I thought “rotpuo” was an excellent jumble. I had to skip it at first, and then came back to it. The answer letter layout was a very impressive thirteen letter jumble. David L. Hoyt did a wonderful job of making it marvelously cryptic. For me it was the final answer slots that helped me arrive at the answer.
Cute cartoon of a little girl making some new friends. And, mommy in the other room overhearing her daughter’s conversation with them. Maybe the little girl will make four quick snips, and set them free . . . some day. Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
