The most important events of Florence to see in november

Clue/Question:  He hadn’t fully thought out his invention of the fountain pen, but he did have an – – –

Leonardo da Vinci | Art, Biography & Art for Sale | Sotheby's

Answer:  INKLING

(Man, the inklings that this dude had . . . put guys like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison to shame.  And, they were certainly no slouches!  Guys like Franklin and Edison were practical geniuses of their times, but Leonardo da Vinci was a true – almost freaky – visionary!  Some things that he thought up, or designed, were achievable at the time, but many others were purely pipe dreams for the latter 15th and early 16th Centuries.  But so many of them became realities in the 19th and 20th Centuries.  He was THE Renaissance Man of the Renaissance!  During his time, being “illegitimate”, and – likely Gay – weren’t attributes that would help you to get ahead.  But he somehow overcame.  And, he had very little formal training!  Can you say genius?  I can’t think of any other person who was more ahead of his time!

None of today’s clue words are new, but all of the jumbles appear to be so.  They all came to me immediately.  The answer letter layout was a short seven letter jumble.  The clue/question did a wonderful job of setting up the final answer.  It didn’t take a genius to figure this out.

Great cartoon of the man with the great mind.  It looks like Jeff decided to draw Leo during his time in Florence.  Beautiful city!  Lots to see and do there.  Milan has La Scala and – if you’re into it – fashion, but it’s also more industrial and modern.  But all of Italy is pretty special.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Happy birthday to Tony Hadley, of Spandau Ballet!

I saw a short-list of famous inventors, but the two I think are similar to Leonardo are Benjamin Franklin, Nikola Tesla.

Benjamin might be a better match; besides being productive and prosperous he was also something of a bounder, kind of like Leonardo.

I don’t know how prosperous was Tesla; I sense he may have had other social problems that got in his way.

    Maybe someone will comment.

A true visionary…A man for the past, present and maybe future??¿…LDV you rocked and still do!!……I have a sense that if Ben F & Leonardo would have been together in a time-frame, they would have been best Bro’s and shook a few folks up…regardless of their orientations??¿♤

Side-Note: Speaking of Italy; During my times in Sicily (loved it)…Well anyway, your assignment;…Do some research on the “Black Hand”…Why it was started, what they actually did & how and why it evolved into what is today??¿…{A truism: Loyalty was taken as seriously as by any group in history in its formative years}>>>There are things I learned/knew while living in East New York Brooklyn, to this day I have not spoken of to Anyone!!^…Sry for the half-ass example… £

And as the Prof closes his books…Byyyyy…….k

Enlighten us, dear Kenny-boy! I know it goes back to the 1750s in Italy/Sicily, and came over here with Italian immigrants. And of course it (extortion) was the prime source of income for the Mafia, even before bootleg liquor, prostitution, and then later other drugs. It seems dubious that its origins were less than beneficial to anyone except the extortioners. — YUR

Time-Travel: Synopsis; Going way-back to circa
480 BC and the Battle of Himera, there was an almost steady flow of invasions into Sicily, two main reasons; Location, location, location & great land, land, land, in fact the Capital City of Palermo is the most invaded in World History!!*
This resulted in various “Secret Societies”. These were not officially called “Black Hand” but their main objective was to secure/help the “Mother Land”…as you mentioned, circa 1750s, their tactics took a different leaning to of different objectives…….

Well, “Passa dee damn pasta ‘fora slapa youra facea offa”……. (A little over killa¿¿?)Byyyyy…k

The last “Hoo Rah”: Inside info that has already been out there a little; Do you happen to know what really ticked Bobby Kennedy off about the so called “Mob”??…The “loan shark” methods of some of the “boys” In the crew…these bordered on horrific!…These were flat out “Grease Ball” punks, many of whom thought these tactics would move them “up” the organization…the only thing they moved closer to was a deeper level of hell!!*…logic would dictate the large profits and ruined life’s of drugs would be Bobby’s driving force…but when a guy from the “City” sent him some detailed reports on the demonic actions on these loan shark victims, in sone cases their families,(supposed to be off-limits)…He sorta kinda lost it…supposedly BK said, “These M…F…ers have to go down!!☆…….Sry, I want to, but I can’t reveal how I came upon this info{sounds silly but there is a good reason}…….k

I may have mentioned this before, but in my humble opinion Robert Kennedy would have made a truly great President☆☆☆…….When you try to figure out life you just get so……….~~~●■

Clarification: When Bobby said “These M…..F…ers…..” He really said, “These Mother Farters…..”>>>This may have been misinterpreted…
Of course, The Kennedy family is soo pristine in nature….Hold on,”Hey Joe, where are all those bottles going”??¿*

    Where’s your Nanny, Tuckett??¿…Byyyyy…….k
