A healthy attitude is contagious but don’t wait to catch it from others.  Be a carrier.”   —   Tom Stoppard

Leonardo da Vinci | Art, Biography & Art for Sale | Sotheby's

Answer:  INKLING

(Man, the inklings that this dude had . . . put guys like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison to shame.  And, they were certainly no slouches!  Guys like Franklin and Edison were practical geniuses of their times, but Leonardo da Vinci was a true – almost freaky – visionary!  Some things that he thought up, or designed, were achievable at the time, but many others were purely pipe dreams for the latter 15th and early 16th Centuries.  But so many of them became realities in the 19th and 20th Centuries.  He was THE Renaissance Man of the Renaissance!  During his time, being “illegitimate”, and – likely Gay – weren’t attributes that would help you to get ahead.  But he somehow overcame.  And, he had very little formal training!  Can you say genius?  I can’t think of any other person who was more ahead of his time!

None of today’s clue words are new, but all of the jumbles appear to be so.  They all came to me immediately.  The answer letter layout was a short seven letter jumble.  The clue/question did a wonderful job of setting up the final answer.  It didn’t take a genius to figure this out.

Great cartoon of the man with the great mind.  It looks like Jeff decided to draw Leo during his time in Florence.  Beautiful city!  Lots to see and do there.  Milan has La Scala and – if you’re into it – fashion, but it’s also more industrial and modern.  But all of Italy is pretty special.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
