Anoka Air Conditioning Repair | AC & Air Conditioner Maintenance Services in Anoka, MN

Answer: FEENOMINAL

(Gotta love a groaning good stinky pun like this one!  Not for nothin’, but this kind of rings as a David L. Hoyt original.  I don’t think we’ve had this good – bad – a pun in quite a while!  Keep ’em comin’, boys!  Diehard Jumblers absolutely eat them up!

None of today’s clue words were unexpected.  And yet, all of their jumbles appear to be new.  My brain flailed at solving “lalfi” for a couple of minutes.  I was tempted to back into it, but it finally came to me.  Good thing too, because I don’t know if I would’ve got the final answer without the “F”.  Even with the “F” and “I” I thought the answer letter layout was cryptic ten letter jumble.  I wouldn’t be surprised if some of you struggled to come up with the final answer.  But the quotation marks and the hyphen were a big help.

Fine service call cartoon.  The way the cat is looking at the repairman you’d think that he was there to fix him, or her.  Now, I’m just wondering what kind of repairman he is.  I’m not getting a plumber vibe.  Maybe an HVAC guy?  Could be just about anything I guess.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Voltaire

Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”   —   Voltaire

(Definitely explains Abu Ghraib and other war crimes committed by U.S. service personnel and “independent contractors”.  And, the scarier thing is the vast majority of Americans – still – believe the official narrative of the events of 9/11/01 and the need for “the war on terror”.  They crafted a nearly perfect “us vs. them” scenario, and most Americans swallowed the lies . . .  hook, line and sinker.  Not that this still isn’t an ongoing concern, but to add a slightly more recent example would be Trump’s insistence on referring to COVID-19 as “The China Flu”, or even worse “Kung Flu”, and how there has been a resulting 150% increase in Anti-Asian hate crimes in the U.S..  And, the years and years of being told that Blacks are “the bogeyman” has played a big part in our systemic racism.  I think that Voltaire might be my favorite source of quotes.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
