Clue/Question: He knew a lot about car waxes and polishes and was considered to be a – – –
Answer: BUFF BUFF
(Beep beep, vroom vroom! Wax on, wax off! A silly little, easy to get Jumble, for a Wednesday. Not sure when the word “buff” came to mean someone in great shape, with ripped muscles. Originally, it’s a verb meaning to polish. It’s also a color, and it can mean a fan, as in a movie buff, history buff, car buff, etc.. The pumped buff came much later, and I guess it’s considered slang.
All familiar clue words today. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, while we’ve seen “ftasf” sometime before. The answer letter layout was a straight eight letter jumble. With three repeating letters it made getting the final answer pretty easy.
Fine cartoon of the outside of a car wash. The waxer/buffer is sufficiently buff. And, I always enjoy seeing a Jumble mobile! They’re very rare, you know! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Happy birthday to JD McPherson!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the car wash was the AIA car wash, which was the one out of Breaking Bad. I love Easter Eggs that hint at that great TV show!
Love Bryan Cranston, but I never watched “Breaking Bad”! Don’t really know why. That’s why that social reference flew right over my noggin, Laura. And, since that Jumble was now two weeks ago – and WordPress makes it tough to see any post related to any comment – I really don’t even remember the Jumble! I’m getting old, kiddo! — YUR
