“There are one hundred men seeking security to one man who is willing to risk his fortune.” — J. Paul Getty
(So, the laws of probability would seem to favor the 100 cautious men? Some things are worth risking, when you have all the facts. Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
Clue/Question: She tried to choose an outfit for her to wear, but her daughter was – – –
Pre-Answer: One Hyphenated Word “(7-letters)-(6-letters)
Answer: “CLOTHES“-MINDED
(A great argument for corporal punishment! Sure, it’s not politically/socially “correct” anymore, but it always helped reinforce who was the parent, and who was the child. Too many of today’s parents are overly concerned with protecting their child’s psyche, instead of teaching them boundaries and acceptable behavior. Unfortunately, it’s kind of an over-reaction to child abuse. But measured discipline is not abuse. It’s just part of the growing/learning process.
No new clue words today. Five of the jumbles are coming up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “nnloie” before. The answer letter layout was tricky thirteen letter jumble. But “MINDED” came . . . to mind pretty quickly, and the remaining letters provided the “CLOTHES”. Haven’t we had a Jumble where the answer was “CLOTHES”-MINDED fairly recently??? Sounded familiar to me.
Cute cartoon. The little girl wants to wear her tu-tu and boots, instead of something more appropriate. Time for Mom to put her foot down. I hope she decides to be the parent. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
