“What peace can we hope to find elsewhere if we have none within us.” — Saint Teresa of Avila
(I don’t know about all the rest of you, but my newspaper has the second to last word as BOIV – WITH – but the quote is actually WITHIN US. Don’t know if this was done on purpose to throw us a little, or if it was just a little mistake. I know it didn’t sound quite right to me, as it is in my paper, but I went with it. I don’t think we should use this as an excuse not to seek peace though. How many of are completely at peace with themselves? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Happy birthday to Mike McCready of Pearl Jam!
Am I also the only one to really want to end the quote with a question mark? I went ahead, in ink and added the code letters to turn the word into within. It is my newspaper and the only admirer I have is my beloved husband who enjoys reading sense out of garbled letters. I was so fortunate to have an audience with Mother Teresa. As a Hospice pioneer, I was on the board of directors of an influential non profit. I was given a medal from those distributed at her funeral. I have treasured the honor as one nurse meeting the quintessential community health nurse of the world.
WOW! That IS a huge honor, Nancy! If I was being consistent I would’ve ended the quote in a question mark, because that does make more sense. Good for you though! — YUR
For the second time in a week, my newspaper split letters at random. XKTXB VXCX and VN WX. (for “elsewhere” and “have”) Made things a little more difficult.
That stinks, Amy! File a complaint with the paper. — YUR
Uncle Rave,
You should have Nancy should post a copy of her medal from Mother Teresa’s funeral on your sight.
Maybe if Nancy reads this she’ll do it. She’s an infrequent poster, but I think she’s a regular reader. — YUR
