Clue/Question: The talkative young fashion designer made her own clothing, – – –
Answer: “SEW“ TO SPEAK
(Kind of a double pun today! To be fair, the tyke DID make her own clothes. But, whether she should be seen in public wearing them is another story altogether. I think in Dolly’s story her mother made the quilt/coat. And, Dolly had to endure an ample amount of teasing, for daring to wear it to school. The story was a little too cutesy for me, and the child actress who played her was too cloyingly sweet for me to watch more than the first five minutes, or so. But, Ms. Parton IS an American icon. And, she is very philanthropic.
No new clue words today. Three of the jumbles came up as new for me. But we’ve definitely seen “supae” sometime before. The answer letter layout was another tidy ten letter jumble. I thought it was nicely cryptic. I kind of missed the comma after clothing, so it took me a few looks to see the answer.
Great cartoon of the bemused mother and her overly enthused, young seamstress. Considering the kind of things we see coming down the fashion show runways, I don’t think this kid is too bad! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Happy birthday, Jerry Horton
Good jumble. And it could have even gone a different way — I get the jumble — the young seamstress and vera talkative!! It could have also gone another way with the answer being SEW IT SEAMS — obviously different clue letters.
Beautiful day here .. we’ve strung a couple of them along! BUT, I know it is a ways to spring. This is the teasing weather, and is reeking havoc on the sinuses and head! LL
That would have been a double pun, LL! Beware the ups and downs of March, kiddo! Like usual, you’ll pull through. — YUR
