Clue/Question: The store run by the baboons failed because of all the – – –
Answer: MONKEY BUSINESS
(This is why we can’t have nice things! LOL! Monkeys will be monkeys, just as boys will be boys. That doesn’t excuse Brett Kavanaugh though! Monkeys gotta do their thing, just as a tiger can’t change his stripes. Just as you can’t expect seventeen Republican senators to convict one of . . . their own! At least Mitch McConnell finally spoke some truth . . . despite voting to acquit. Perhaps he is warm-blooded after all???
As expected . . . there were no new clue words this day. However, three of the jumbles came up as new, for me. The only one I can confirm definitely seeing before was “syobs”. That always reminds of psy-ops! I know a lot of you are in a kind of state of denial about these kind of things, but believe me, they definitely take place. And, more often than most of us would think. I had a little trouble with “anidus”. I’ve never been a fan of UN words as Jumble clue words. To me they’re almost as lazy – s/b ineligible – as plural words with an S. The answer letter layout was an unusually long – for a Saturday – fourteen letter jumble! Fortunately, the Jumble just screamed MONKEY BUSINESS to me.
Really amusing cartoon! Despite it being a store scene, it put me in mind of a couple of movies. The – really old – one is SO politically incorrect, that bringing up the title would raise some hackles. But, the other one is “And Justice for All”, starring Al Pacino and Jack Warden. It also starred Christine Lahti, John Forsythe, Lee Strasberg, Jeffrey Tambor, and Craig T Nelson! And, a guy named Thomas Waites, who was in one of my favorite movies, that I first saw on VHS in like 1981 or ’82, “The Warriors”! He’s now an acting teacher in Philly-delphia! Anyway, I’ll always remember the scene in “And Justice for All” where Al goes off. Great movie. I think I have a copy of it somewhere. Either VHS, or DVD. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
