Clue/Question: When “Cheers” was nominated for 13 Emmys in its first season, it – – –

Answer: SET THE BAR HIGH
(A great pun featuring one of my all-time favorite television sitcoms! What a wondrous and varied cast of characters! Early on, my favorite was Coach. Sadly the actor who played him, Nicholas Colassanto, died during the third season. He was only 61! Nearly three years younger than yer uncle! Coincidentally, season three was when we first saw the character Frasier Crane hit the scene, as Sam’s rival for Diane’s affections.
No new clue words today. Yet, all of the jumbles appear to be new. No real toughies. The answer letter layout was a very impressive thirteen letter jumble. Nicely cryptic. But, the final answer slots helped make for an easy solve. You just knew that BAR had to be in there!
Great cartoon, except that Jeff should’ve made it Ted Danson, and not Kelsey Grammer giving out the good news. As mentioned earlier, Kelsey wasn’t on “Cheers” until season three. And, he wasn’t bearded and shaggy his first few seasons. He still had a little left on top in the beginning. But Frasier, Cliff and Norm were definitely the top patrons of the bar. Oooh! Maybe Jeff was drawing James Burrows, the co-creator of “Cheers”! Hmm. Never mind. Very amusing Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
