ATTOL = TOTAL, IDVIV = VIVID, NRAENM = MANNER, LAPLOW = WALLOP — Giving us: TOAIIDMNNEWAL
Clue/Question: They would work together to install the new shingles but needed to – – –
Answer: NAIL DOWN A TIME
(Beautiful! Seems like a fresh pun, to me. It looks like these roofers are trying to hammer out a schedule. Roofing jobs generally take a couple of days, sometimes just one, but then it’s usually a full day. Starting at 10:00 is a little late, but starting at 11:00 is really pushing it.
No new clue words again today. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, but we have seen “laplow” before. The answer letter layout was an impressive thirteen letter jumble. Nothing obvious there. The layout of the final answer slots was the biggest hint, for me.
Fine cartoon of some contractors. Big palette of shingles and Tyvek. It looks like this is either a new structure, or they’ve already removed existing shingles, as it looks like they’re down to the plywood. So, maybe they’re planning for day two! And, it sort of explains the late start times. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

UR,

Ives??¿…But the Jumble revived me…A really enjoyable Scrambled Word Game…As far as “MALE DOWN A TIME”>>>My experience with a roofing job…1/2 day…It wasn’t the height or angle by themselves…It was; heght + angle = Fogit ’bout it!!!…….k
Lattttter…….k
Okay
I too believe this final answer was new, and it gave me a little trouble too. Our puzzlers have gotten back on track with fresher material this week which is much appreciated.
Sorry about the Bills, my friend.
Thanks, David. KC was clearly the better team that day. Offensively, Buffalo was kind of a walking wounded. Defensively, Hill and Hardman are so darn fast, and Kelce is about as good a Tight End that anyone could ask for. Pre-season, nobody thought the Bills would get that far, so I’m looking at the overall positive. They’ll be back next year. Hopefully, better than ever. — YUR
