“There are three things you can do in a baseball game. You can win, you can lose, or it can rain.” — Casey Stengel
(Great quote, but we saw this exact quote about 2 and 1/2 years ago! Boo! Hiss! Too soon to be rerun. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Yeah, but let’s face it…Casey-Isms are like Yogi-Isms…they never really get old. “It’s deja vu all over again.” ⚾️🙋🏻♀️
UR,
“…….and the mighty Casey struck out…☆♡
…Going, going gone…….k
Yeah, I brought that up the first time they used this quote. I didn’t want the readers to think I just cut and pasted from that earlier one! — YUR
Well . . . Casey definitely checked out, Ken. Back in 1975, which was like a lifetime ago for most of us. — YUR
Ah, yes…I hadn’t seen the first quote from 2018, but I just looked it up. Both he and Yogi were such colorful characters…something lacking in Baseball today. Today we have tales of garbage can lids, steroid use, and salary negotiations that would have given old Casey a stroke! One has to miss those days of Baseball Banter…compared to today’s HIT and MISS nonsense! No pun intended! ⚾️🙋🏻♀️
They were definitely classics of a bygone generation. The last colorful baseball managers of my generation were Tommy Lasorda, Sparky Anderson, Billy Martin, and my favorites: Earl Weaver and Bobby Valentine!

Winners all…And being from NY, Billy Martin never failed to keep us entertained. His “disputes” with Steinbrenner were classic! ⚾️🙋🏻♀️
