12ft Florida alligator becomes a golf course celebrity, but he's not alone | Animals | The Guardian

Humboldt Park Alligator Captured | WBEZ Chicago

(These long, single word answers very often give me a hard time.  I didn’t get it right away.  And when I did, I didn’t even get the pun for a minute, or so.  I was just thinking of the fearful uneasiness aspect of the word.  The capture aspect hit me a bit later.

No new clue words today.  I guess yesterday’s RHINO must have been a new word, because no one corrected me.  Two of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen “openr” and “barjeb” before.  The answer letter layout was a tantalizing twelve letter jumble.  Definitely nothing obvious about it.

So, that’s where David L. Hoyt got those alligator shoes!  Just kidding, folks.  I know this was a catch and relocate operation.  I’m pretty sure they are no longer endangered, but there’s no sense in killing them just because they’re a threatening nuisance.  All the world’s creatures have a right to life.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Hi UR. We have a repeat solution today. Check out the puzzle of September 18th, 2015. It went like this… “After a tiger escaped from the zoo, there would be this, until there was this”…And the solve: APPREHENSION. And that day Jeff gave us Calvin and Hobbes! 🐊🙋🏻‍♀️

UR, I am not enough of a GENIUS. I pondered, you can read an UNSIGNED article or receive an UNSIGNED letter; surely, the author can UNSIGN such a document! However, I backed into it, with apprehension …

That one does ring familiar, Angela! And, the setup was more obvious. But, five years + seems to be past the statute of limitations. So, the guys get a pass on this. Thanks! — YUR

UR…IMO, they rate a pass on everything. I just like jogging my memory, and the research of it all. Trust me, I’m well aware that in my wildest dreams, and on my best day, I couldn’t hold a flicker of a candle to David. The man stands alone, and I stay in awe of him! Hope your day’s going well…and stay safe out there…🐊🙋🏻‍♀️

I, too. got messed up on the NUGIES jumble. That’s because sueing is one of the two accepted spellings of the word describing what attorneys and others are doing when they can’t otherwise reach an agreement or understanding with another party.
Like everyone else on earth, I’m hoping that the year just started is better that the year just ended. Wishing your family and you a healthy, happy new year.
