Answer: KNEW FULL WELL
(Indeed! No stinky puns on Thanksgiving day. Everything smells like turkey, and mashed potatoes, and gravy, and green bean casserole, and candied sweet potatoes, and stuffed mushrooms, and jellied cranberry sauce, and stuffing . . . and stuffing . . . and stuffing! Guess what part of the meal I like most!
All of today’s clue words were traditional designations. Three of the jumbles came up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “lewbol” before. And, probably like before, it was the only one to give me trouble. I started to write BOWEL but ended up with an extra L. And, of course, those letters can also spell BELOW and ELBOW. The answer letter layout was a terrific twelve letter jumble. From the cartoon, and its dialog, I knew that FULL was in it. But, the phrase came to me fairly quickly.
Great cartoon of a relatively small family. Maybe Jeff’s brother’s family? Definitely someone that Jeff knows. Whenever the characters don’t look generic you know that Jeff has someone in mind. Whoever it is, I like his black lab! Be well and do good, friends. Happy Thanksgiving to all!) — YUR
