Clue/Question: The conversation between the architect and the general contractor was – – –
Answer: CONSTRUCTIVE
(What a well-built pun! Utilizing finely engineered conversation, and a smartly laid out cartoon, on a sound foundation of a clue/question. A fine example of form following function!
Guess what, guys? Hoyt has snuck in another new clue word today, in “sunset”. Looks like our pal ralis95 will have to update his world famous clue word database once again. Two of the jumbles appear to be new, while we’ve seen both “greve” and “thacc” sometime before. The only one to give me pause – as usual – was the compound word. The answer letter layout was another terrific twelve letter jumble. But, the clue/question led me to a very quick conclusion.
Fine cartoon of the contractor and the architect. I liked both the blueprints and the architect’s model. Good job, guys! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I stopped after solving the first two jumbles and jumped the the conclusion that the final solve was “ENLIGHTENING”.
I see now that I jumped too soon.
UR,
For the answer: Looked at “ing”…Oops, no “g”…
next “tion”…no fit…then “tive” …Oh Yea, Bingo*¥
Terrific Cartoon; Very “CONSTRUCTIVE”, Ohh,
Very stinky, Sry, (almost)……. {Who crossed the
road first, the Turkey or the Egg??¿},>>>(Boo!!*)
Byyyyy…….k
Like just about every new compound word in Jumble, SUNSET caused lots of trouble for me. My mental algorithm for unscrambling anagrams quickly relies on memory and common letter patterns. I don’t think there are other six-letter words ending –NSET, so I got nowhere fast trying to find this one. I got the final answer quickly once I had SUNSET, but wasn’t able to see it soon enough to back in. I agree, very good final answer, cartoon, and setup that felt original. Well done puzzle!
Not a lot of NSET words period, David. The only word I could think of, off the top of my head, is QUONSET. — YUR
“QUONSET” !
You’re making that up, unc !
C’mon, lwc. It was the subject – or background – of one of the Jumbles, not too long ago. You’re old enough to remember Quonset huts. And, weren’t you in the military, in your younger days? — YUR
Okay, I didn’t know that was a real word.
I thought the Marines made it up.
In case I didn’t say so before, Happy Thanksgiving to you, the Mrs, and all of your blogmates, collaborators, and conspirators !
Thanks, lwc! — YUR
