Clue/Question: When Alfred Hitchcock’s movie, “The Birds”, premiered in 1963, people – – –

Answer: FLOCKED TO IT
(Uh oh! I don’t think the birds appreciated this stinky pun! They’re beginning to mass. Not a good omen. Maybe, they think the guys are picking on them too. We already had a “Birds” Jumble not too long ago. Hitchcock made a slew of movies. I’m sure there are puns for some of those other films.
No new clue words today. Three of the jumbles did come up as new, for me. But, we’ve definitely seen “finek” before. The answer letter layout was an esoteric eleven letter jumble. It did a splendid job of disguising the final answer.
Fine early 1960s street scene. This was long before the days of the multi-plex, so it was pretty much one movie to one theater. Also, this is pre-Beatles invasion, so none of the guys have Beatles’ haircuts . . . yet. The average cost of a movie ticket it 1963 was . . . 85¢! Can you believe that that average price has grown to $9.26??? Crazy, huh? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
