DFIRAT = ADRIFT, EMIHUL = HELIUM, ODONWE = WOODEN, ZAIREL = LAZIER, GHEIYT = EIGHTY, WHERDS = SHREWD — Giving us: IFHEMOONAERIHHRD
Clue/Question: The rabbit was looking for his cousin, but couldn’t see – – –
Pre-Answer: Five Words (4-letters) (3-letters) “(4-letters)” (2-letters) (3-letters)

Answer: HIDE NOR “HARE“ OF HIM
(I’m not hopping for joy with this final answer. Sure, it’s a cute homonym pun, but I was expecting something a little more challenging, considering four of the jumbles.
All of the clue words are familiar old friends. But, five of the jumbles are coming up as new. We’ve definitely seen “wherds” before. The only ones I got right away were “adrift” and “shrewd”. I struggled with the other four, especially “lazier” and “helium! The answer letter layout was an impressive sixteen letter jumble. But, the final answer layout, the quotation marks, and the clue/question, just made solving it too easy. It was a “Buy more Ovaltine” solve, for me.
The cartoon was a lot of fun though. It looks like the cousin is pretty good at hiding.. I liked him poking his head from around the tree in the background. Rabbits are cute, but they’re not terribly smart. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
