Clue/Question: Elvis Presley’s 1957 hit song had some people – – –

Answer: ALL SHOOK UP
(The U.S. was even more Puritanical back in the 1950s. And, still largely segregated as well. Besides the shocking sexuality of his dance moves, a lot of people didn’t like Elvis singing like a “Colored”! Whites could sing their songs – a la Pat Boone – as long as you sounded White singing them. There might still be systemic racism in this country, but at least we’ve come a long way musically!
All of today’s clue words are straight outta the ralis95 clue word database. Two of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen “kalye” and “deseyp” before. Hey, Hoyt! You’ve used “speedy” numerous times, but never speed! How come? The answer letter layout was a tight ten letter jumble. Nothing obvious there.
Very fine late 50’s family scene cartoon. A little like “Ozzie and Harriet”, a little like “The Donna Reed Show”. Those shows made it into the early 60’s, so I’m familiar with them. Also “Father Knows Best”, and “The Real McCoys”! Good memories. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
