Clue/Question: Getting ready to put on his best suit, he couldn’t find his neckwear. He was – – –

Answer: FIT TO BE TIED
(I don’t know if this guy is fit to be anything! Fit to be dressed by his wife/mommy maybe! Why is this sad sack looking for neckties in his sock and underwear drawer? I don’t know anyone who keeps their ties in any drawer. You hang them on a tie-rack, or at worst some kind of hanger, in the closet. I suppose we could blame it on the pandemic, but . . . I’m shaking my head. SMH, for the Millennials and Gen Z crowd.
No new clue words today. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen “fidtr” sometime earlier. Got ’em all instantly this morning. The answer letter layout was an interesting eleven letter jumble. I found it pleasantly cryptic. But, I also thought this was a pretty simple solve.
Great cartoon of the miffed husband, searching in vain. You know his wife is going to know exactly where his ties are. I think this, and other hapless husband jumbles, are designed to mollify all those who object to Cryptoquotes that come off as “sexist”, because they were written by men . . . MANY years ago! LOL! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
