“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.” — Shakespeare
(I’ve never noticed Cupid being painted, or otherwise depicted, as blind! Love is blind, they say, but I never thought that Cupid was. Is this just a funky 16th Century way of saying things? Not an easy solve, for me. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Clue/Question: Her very basic approach to teaching students about the human skeleton was – – –
Answer: BARE–BONES
(Gotta love it! But, I don’t think Dr. Temperance Brennan would ever attempt to make a joke about bones. She was a very serious forensic anthropologist. Especially in the earlier episodes, of “Bones”, the Fox Television series that ran for about twelve years. I was a big fan of the show. Maybe BET could revive the series, using a black actress! They could call it . . . Black Bones! I kinda like the irony of the title. Of course it wouldn’t have to be BET. It could be any network. But, they could probably get away with the title more than other networks.
Would you believe that Hoyt has given us a brand new clue word today? Yep. It turns out that they have never used “local” before. We’ve seen LOCALE, but not “local” . . . until today! Two of the jumbles came up as new, but we’ve definitely seen both “greem” and “blineb” before. The answer letter layout was a fine nine letter jumble. I didn’t find it obvious, at all.
Fine cartoon of a skeletal lesson. All the students appear to be very attentive. That’s very important if these kids are planning to become doctors. Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
