“Times of luxury do not last long, but pass away very quickly; nothing in this world can be long enjoyed.” — Buddha
(Regular folks, who’ve had to earn a living, can really appreciate this. The idle rich have nothing better to do than trying to exceed their last enjoyment. This can lead to some really decadent and deplorable acts. If we ever chose to *eat the rich* . . . it would only be a temporary pleasure, folks. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Clue/Question: It took him a year to lose 100 pounds, which resulted in a – – –
Answer: BIG FAT GRIN
(Losing all that weight could add many years to his life. All of his joints will thank him. His heart, and all his internal organs, will thank him. And, his psyche will thank him, as he’ll reduce/eliminate his feelings of guilt and/or shame. “Fat Shaming” is unnecessarily cruel, and should never be inflicted upon anyone. But, this politically correct “accepting your body for what it is” can be more harmful than helpful, when it comes to a person’s health. “Embrace” obesity only if you want to live a shorter, unhealthier life.
None of today’s clue words were candidates for new inclusion to the ralis95 clue word database. Yup, we’ve seen ’em all before! But, all of the jumbles came up as new, for me. I’m thinking that “bfauli” might have been the toughest one for some of you. But, because that is the only bone that I’ve ever broken in my lifetime, “fibula” kind of jumped out at me. The answer letter layout was a terrific ten letter jumble. I thought it was wonderfully cryptic.
When Jeff draws a character like this it’s usually because it is someone that he, or David – or both – knows. Unless you guys know of a famous John who recently dropped 100 lbs?! Maybe one of them will grace us with an informative comment. It’s been known to happen, ya know! Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
