Jumble Spoiler – 09/03/20

Clue/Question:  He bought the shirt at the concert 30 years ago.  To him it was an – – –

Answer:  “OLD–T“ BUT A “GOOD–T“

(This one feels new to me!  It’s definitely a gro-oan-ner of a stinky pun.  I had to stretch out groaner, because the pun is a bit of a stretch.  But, regardless, I got it right away!

I came up with two new clue words, but it looks like Angela has only confirmed “toothy” as new.  I guess that means we have seen “spigot” before, probably on a Sunday Jumble.  It sounded familiar to me, so it might not have been all that long ago.  Either way, ralis95 has some updating to do!  All of the jumbles appear to be new though.    The answer letter layout was a lengthy thirteen letter jumble.  I thought it was nicely cryptic.  As always, quotation marks and hyphens are a big help.

Fun cartoon of a middle aged couple.  When you’re going that bald you shouldn’t try rocking a pony tail.  Not a good look.  It’s a little like dying your hair dark, but allowing your beard to grow in gray.  I’ve seen a few people do that, and I just wonder WTF!  LOL!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
