(It’s a shame that this is Anonymous, as someone should get credit for this very clever quote.  Again, it took me a while to get this one started.  I knew the “Z” had to be either the “I” or the “A”, but guessing the “O” was “L” helped me see PLACE and PLANTS.  I really like this quote!  Been quite a while since we’ve had an Anonymous!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  STAY THE COURSE

(“A thousand points of light.”  “Read my lips . . . No new taxes!”  “A kinder, gentler nation.”  “I’m president of the United States and I’m not going to eat any more broccoli.”  Duh-bya’s dad was better than Duh-bya.  Not by a lot, mind you, but at least he was his own man.  As much as any President is his own man, that is.  He certainly had a better command of the English language!  Anyhow . . . today’s Jumble pun put me in mind of the old man . . . God rest his soul.

Clearly, Hoyt was thinking of me, when he decided to use “uncle” as a clue word!  That, and the other three are all existing clue words.  All four of the jumbles appear to be new though.  I had to back into “trendy”.  The seven letters that I did have, in the answer letter layout, were just enough for me to figure out the final answer.  I had no trouble with “locale”.  A terrific ten letter jumble for the answer letter layout.  Nothing given away.  But, of course you knew “course” was going to be the third word.

Great cartoon of Jeff and David, at St. Andrews, with their caddie, Alastair Tavish MacDuff!  ATM, for short.  The Swilcan Bridge, on the 18th hole of the Old Course, is over 700 years old!  I think it’s one of the images that pops up when you look up the word “iconic”.  I don’t think I’m a big fan of links golf though.  I prefer to see some trees.  But, that’s just me.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
