(Ooh!  By my recollection, we haven’t had this stinky a pun in a while!  A long while.  Not exactly ancient history, but a great old school nugget of a stinker.  I get a bang out of puns like this.

All of today’s clue words are Jumble classics!  But, surprisingly, all of today’s jumbles are coming up as new for me.  They weren’t in my Tags at least.  All of them are great, but I didn’t struggle to solve any of them.  The answer letter layout was a very impressive sixteen letter jumble.  The final answer didn’t exactly come to me in a rush.  I got THE right away!  LOL!  Then I saw BLAST, and the rest came to me in a breeze of clarity!

Great lecture hall cartoon.  These look like college kids to me.  I’ve read that Nobel set up this big charitable organization to alleviate some guilt feelings and to silence some of his critics.  One newspaper had even labeled him the merchant of death!  Ouch!  He seems to be much more fondly remembered these days.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
