(Well . . . at least he didn’t say White men!  Sorry, ladies.  Clearly, T.P. was a bit of a male chauvinist, as were most men of the 18th Century.  Too many people use the word “misogyny” incorrectly today.  A misogynist despises women, while male chauvinists simply think that they are “superior” to women.  You can dislike both, if you will, but please don’t confuse the two.  But, regardless.  I think we should all march out there, and tear down all statues of Thomas Paine!  The cad!  Let’s all show how righteous and ethically superior we are to our forefathers.  Tolerance and understanding?  We don’t need no stinking tolerance and understanding!  😉

(Our loving pups usually wear their hearts on their sleeves . . . so to speak.  Nothing subtle about man’s best friend.  They always greet us warmly.  Some might pooh-pooh this poochy pun, but I’m always in favor of . . . a little tail!

All of today’s clue words screamed out:  Remember me!  Three of the jumbles appear to be new, while we’ve definitely seen “teipco” sometime in the past.  Hoyt’s answer letter layout was a tremendous treiskaedeka jumble!  I don’t think it gave a thing away.  The hyphen and the quotation marks were the big clues, for me.

Jeff and Kathy look like fresh-faced kids to me, in this cartoon.  Of course, Kathy is timeless, but Jeff is definitely creeping up there!  LOL!  Although, I’m sure that Jeff will probably attribute this to their COVID-19 hair”cuts”!  Always love seeing their pups!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
