SERSP = PRESS, CRAKT = TRACK, TOSOHM = SMOOTH, VANDEI = INVADE — Giving us: PSSTRCSOHADE
Clue/Question: The hikers hadn’t seen each other in years until they – – –

Answer: CROSSED PATHS
(Now, this one is a truly visual pun! Maybe one took the high road, while the other took the low road? They had to figuratively and literally cross paths, in order to see one another. But, there is a distinct possibility that one of these hikers – probably the tall one – has been purposely avoiding the other. Why? Most likely: halitosis. Even in the great outdoors, bad breath can be a major bummer!
No new clue words today. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen “tosohm” in the past. They all came to me instantly. Hoyt’s answer letter layout was a super twelve letter jumble. This might have been a difficult solve if it wasn’t for Jeff’s great cartoon.
And, it is a great cartoon of two hikers, meeting on mountain paths. I like that there were no distractions in the cartoon. Just two guys at a crossroads. Fine Friday Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
