Clue/Question: Pennies make up 1/100 of a dollar. That’s – – –

Answer: ONE PER–CENT
(Another fine stinky pun! But, it makes me wonder how much longer our government is going to issue/mint pennies! Copper is too expensive, and the cost of minting them exceeds the value of the coin. Even using zinc and food coloring! Or, whatever. I think a lot of us probably have a pretty big stash of pennies somewhere in our houses. The *pure* copper ones are probably worth at least 2¢ each! The newer ones? Eh!
No new clue words today. But, all of the jumbles appear to be new. Solving them was easy money, for me. The answer letter layout was a de-cent ten letter jumble. Nothing counterfeit about it. Remember laughing – or sneering – at the yokels who would say “cash money”? Little did we know how prescient they were with their redundancy! Credit, debit and pre-paid cards. PayPal, Venmo and Zelle. Then, there’s Bitcoin, Litecoin, and a whole new slew of cryptocurrencies out there! Crap that is beyond my ken. Who knew that the rubes would be proven “correct”? Well, I guess the increased popularity of Country music and NASCAR should’ve been a big hint. Hey! I’m an aging Rocker, who still says “cash is king!” Pretty soon you’ll be able to see yer dear ol’ uncle at yer local tar pit.
Cartoon? Teacher, rugrats, money. I think that says it all. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
