Clue/Question: To show his grandson where he bowled a perfect 300 game, they went to – – –
Answer: MEMORY LANE
(Bowling was never really my forté. With a little practice, I’m atleast respectable, but I’ve never come close to a 300 game. I’ve never been able to develop the proper spin, necessary to pick up the more difficult spares. My brother and I used to bowl a lot when we were in our teens and early twenties. He usually beat me. It’s a lot of fun.
I was dumbfounded when I consulted the ralis95 clue word database, and found out that “sassy” is a new clue word! That word seems to be everywhere! But, apparently not in the Jumble world. Hopefully, the A/C is working well at ralis95’s house, as they’ve been experiencing a massive heatwave. They’re flirting with a week’s worth – or more – of near 100° temps! With no real break until Sunday-Monday! All of today’s jumbles are coming up as new. The answer letter layout was another nifty ten letter jumble. Not obvious, but the final answer came to me right away.
Great cartoon of a bowling alley. I remember both Brunswick and AMF when it came to bowling. It looks like Gramps’ bowling days are over. I guess all things must pass. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

UR,
Here’s my best score (it’s a weird thing to remember, but…) age 16 at Slovakia Lanes;
XXXXXXX,7/,8/, X9/ & after that was downhill
as I MUMBLED to myself×××^^
Byyyyyyyy
This final answer pun’s a bit of a stretch, because in the phrase about “memory lane,” people almost always go *down* it, rather than *to* it. Not a big deal, and I found the answer quickly.
Great spin technique is the key to picking up tough spares? I didn’t realize that, though it makes sense. My bowling prowess or lack of it has always been a more basic function of lousy aim, which is a problem with most sports involving a ball.

That’s better than I ever bowled, Ken! — YUR
UR,
OH yes, and time “Rolls” on with some “Strikes”
and “Spares” – “Open” frames along the way…….
Stay on the right “Lane”…Lattttter ^
