“It is much more important to know what sort of patient has a disease than what sort of disease a patient has.” — Source Obscure
(Really? I’m not so sure I agree with this statement. I mean, I understand environmental factors and lifestyle issues, but there are plenty of afflictions that seem to defy those things. Anybody have a better take on this quote . . . that I’ve never heard uttered before? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I agree with you, Uncle. I’m a nurse, and while some underlying conditions certainly make this virus more dangerous for the patient, some previously healthy young people are very sick and the children developing the inflammatory response had no known health issues. Perhaps knowing some currently unknown genetic predispositions will help predict who becomes the sickest. But right now we need to know who has the disease and trace those they came in contact with.
Well unc, we have been told that many of these Covid-19 infections were disseminated by carriers who either, didn’t know they were carriers until after they became ill, or who never became ill.
And, of those who did become ill, for some it wasn’t serious, for some it was very serious, some were close to death but survived, and a few have died.
Don’t you think that’s true for most illnesses: The effect depends on the patient ?
UR,
Some diseases/conditions a patient has need
a quick response from the medical community!
Then it makes sense to make that the priority**
Then finding out about the patients personality
from family/friends might be helpful especially
(Living situations/lifestyle may be of concern)
if the disease/condition the person has are of a long/painful or deadly type**×…This is only one of many scenarios one could make for the above sequence ^^☆
Stay healthy & safe
