Clue/Question: When Bigfoot was spotted near the village, it – – –
Answer: CAUSED A “SEEN“
(Of course it did. It’s not everyday that you see Bigfoot, especially so close to civilization. It looks like he’s coming out of the woods, but maybe he just snuck out the backdoor of that corner pub. He probably had a hankering for some good pub food, and a couple of pints. Hey, he’s only human. Or, humanoid. Sorta.
None of today’s clue words are new. But, three of the jumbles are coming up as new. The only definite repeat is “tageen”. I had a good amount of trouble coming up with “salsa”. And that makes no sense, because I love salsa! Maybe, it’s my Euro-centric, white boy upbringing. Who knows? But, I really failed to solve “tnhisc”, until I solved the final answer. Yes, folks. Yer ol’ uncle had to back into “snitch”. That’s understandable though. I’m widely known as a mensch. A regular guy, who ain’t no rat. Mama didn’t raise no snitches! The answer letter layout was vowel heavy, eleven letter jumble. I thought solving the final answer with out the S, N, and C was pretty nifty. Someone pat me on the back!
Fine cartoon of a rural village. The sign on the left side building appears to say some kind of Shoppe. Maybe a Jumble Shoppe. But, to me it looks like a pub. Not sure if the bald guy is supposed to be David L. Hoyt, or just a generic bald guy. Fun Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

UR, I love salsa too! But I immediately thought, this is a word, like SUSHI, that Henri Arnold & Bob Lee would NOT have used back in the golden age.
Who painted these beautiful pictures?

Hi UR…I hope this finds you well. So…DFEUG? Reaching way back for this one, but “Whoomp…There It Is”…. https://tinyurl.com/yy2d3wge
March 18th, 2011. (Almost 6 months to the day…before life as we knew it got all FUDGEd up)…And I give you a major tip of the cap for “Mama didn’t raise no snitches”. The mantra growing up in Brooklyn…Oh, and yes, the sign does indeed read “Jumble Shoppe” (what else)? and IMHO, that’s definitely our illustrious David. Be well, stay safe…stay home. Have a good night. 🙋🏻♀️
Liz,
The top one is by Ring Ole, and the lower one is by Nikolo Balkanski. I was going to post one by Gustave Courbet, but these two grabbed my attention! — YUR
You’re right, hal. But, the times they are a changin’! — YUR
Good sleuthing, “Angie baby. You’re a special lady. Living in a world of make-believe. Well, maybe.” Maybe I wasn’t posting the jumbles as Tags as much back then? I dunno. I had just returned from “the coast”, so maybe I was just jet lagged. — YUR
Ah, Helen Reddy. I haven’t thought about that song in a dog’s age. And ironically, I have been accused of being “a little touched”! 😉 But since I’m from the school of every knock being a boost…I just go with the flow! 2011…Feels like a lifetime ago, right? In so many ways…Anyhow…I just finished watching the late, great Kobe Bryant school the Jazz in his final game, and make that heart-wrenching farewell speech…and for some strange reason my vision’s a little blurry…So, I’ll just bid you a good night…Be well, stay safe…🏀🙋🏻♀️
Nice to see that that song wasn’t over your head, Ange. Also, nice to see that you’re a sports fan. — YUR
Thank you…🙋🏻♀️
