KAKIH = KHAKI, RGEEV = VERGE, NOTENB = BONNET, PAYSNP = SNAPPY — Giving us: KAIERENNTSNP
Clue/Question: When the scientist played an April Fool’s joke on his monster, he was being a – – –

Answer: “PRANKENSTEIN“
(Awesome, stinky pun! This one belongs in the Jumble Hall of Fame! Whether this was suggested, or the guys came up with it on their own, I just love it. I trust you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
None of today’s clue words were new, and that’s okay. But, all four of the jumbles appear to be new. I always have trouble spelling “khaki”, so even though I knew it – I had to semi-back into it. Even without the the KAI I figured that the final answer PRANK in it. At first, I thought it was going to be something PRANKSTER, but there was only one R available. Something in the IEENN got me on the ENSTEIN track that led me to the pun.
The cartoon though is what really took the cake. The monster rising from the slab, wearing the Carmen Miranda headpiece and makeup is hilarious. The good Doctor is a great Gene Wilder. And the castle laboratory reminds me of the movie “Young Frankenstein”. A truly marvelous Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
