Clue/Question: With fewer and fewer customers, business at the indoor shopping center was – – –
Answer: “DIS–MALL“
(This pun would be much more stinky – and amusing – if it wasn’t so true! Various department stores were always the anchors, or keystones, to our malls, and many of them have closed. The smaller stores that relied a lot on impulse buyers are also going under. The situation has totally gotten out of hand.
All of today’s clue words are already on the world famous ralis95 clue word database. But, all four jumbles are coming up as new. Surprisingly, it took me two looks to see “manly”, but the others came to me right away. The answer letter layout was a very simple seven letter jumble. But, it got the job done.
Fine cartoon of a practically empty shopping mall. A security guard and two older gals getting in their walking exercise. Not quite sure what a Leftorium would sell. It looks like the old J&D department store is closed for good. It’s a good thing that Jeff & David have an online presence. 😉 Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Leftorium: probably a store that sells tools, gadgets, etc. for left-handed people.

HAIRDO felt so recent!
So sad seeing the malls crumble. We lost one years ago. Now it is a shopping center with all kinds of retail and restaurants. Took years to get it going.
Maybe they can be repurposed to something!
