However crazy you may think it is, there is a place for what you want to do and who you want to be.”   —   David Bowie

(One of my personal heroes!  He was much more than a musical genius.  It’s a damn shame we lost him too soon.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  BEFOREHAND

(I’m just now getting this pun!  I was more interested in the fact that beforehand is a legitimate compound word.  Left to my own devices I would have spelt it as two separate words.  Regardless, I just wasn’t seeing it as a pun.  But, now I’m seeing it, as a kind of shorthand for Before The Hand, or Before The Next Hand.  Okay.  A bit of a stretch maybe, but it works.

None of today’s clue words are new.  However, all of the jumbles do appear to be new.  No stumpers, for me.  The answer letter layout made for a doable ten letter jumble.  Nothing obvious about it, but despite not knowing it was a single word, the answer just came to me.

Nice little card game cartoon.  It looks like it could be a retirement setting.  Be well and do good, friends.  Go outside and get some sun and fresh air!  Those are some of the best ways of fighting the COVID-19 coronavirus.  Avoid touching your mouth/nose/eyes until you know for sure that your hands are clean.  Don’t go too nuts with those hand sanitizers!  Use them when you can’t wash your hands normally.  But, washing your hands with good old old soap and warm water, for at least 20 seconds, is the best way of eliminating any germs.  And, stay hydrated!  If your mouth gets dry you’re more likely to aspirate the virus into your lungs.  But, if your mouth is moist and you swallow the virus, your stomach acids will kill it.  We will get through this, folks!)   —   YUR
