Visual Description: Going old school, in the den.
NOPER = PRONE, LICDH = CHILD, GLIMEN = MINGLE, RFAOLL = FLORAL — Giving us: PNEHIDMIORL
Clue/Question: He wrote a letter to his old fishing buddy because he wanted to – – –
Answer: DROP HIM A LINE
(Good pun of an increasingly vanishing older phrase. I don’t think some of the kids today would get “DROP HIM A LINE”. I think the Jumble is working hard to keep the old adages, idioms and sayings alive! And, that’s a good thing.
No new clue words today. However, all of the jumbles are coming up as new. The only one to trip me up a little was “rfaoll”. But, just a little. The answer letter layout was a nicely cryptic eleven letter jumble. I had to think for a minute, before the final answer came to me.
Nice cartoon of a couple in his office/den. I liked the trophies and photo on the wall. Fishing is both a lot of fun, and it’s relaxing. The last time I did any fishing was at one of my grandson’s birthday parties. It was at this man-made, stocked pond, and the sunnies were hitting just about everything you put in the water. They were tiny, but the kids really had a great time. Fun Monday pun. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. If “Dennis” looked like this I don’t think the wife would ever let him go fishing again! — YUR

It is sad to see so many classic old phrases slipping away, a large # of the younger generations will miss out on that opportunity too hear these great lines.
With the percentage of high school graduates that have actually read books going down slightly every year; This even lowers the chances of them hearing some of our fine authors best lines that fit-in at the appropriate times!!
