Answer:  KNEW IT “WOOD“ BE

(Another great – and stinky – Jumble pun.  Reminds me of a joke from my childhood where an unfortunate one-eyed man, who couldn’t afford a glass eye, asks out this . . . ahem less than attractive woman.  She emphatically replies:  “Oh, would I!  Oh, would I!” And then he – angrily – says:  “Ah, forget about it, fvgg-face!”  It’s funny how some things stay with you.

All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends again.  However, all of their jumbles are coming up as new.    I zipped through the first three, but I got hung up on “dmeuti”.  I had to back into “tedium”.  The answer letter layout was a swell twelve letter jumble.  But, even with just the first nine letters I was able to get the final answer.  The quotation marks were a big help.

Great cartoon of Nick Offerman, and probably Megan Mullally.  I suppose it could be Tina Fey, as I’m fairly sure they’re all friends, but Megan is Nick’s Missus!  They’re all very funny.  And, I’ve heard that he loves making furniture, and working with wood.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
