Clue/Question: The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest of its kind, thanks to its – – –
Answer: LONG LIFE SPAN
(A fine pun, indeed. I have fond memories of the Centennial of the Brooklyn Bridge’s opening, back in 1983. I was young and single, and in the company of a fetching Nubian princess, named Leeana. We were pretty chummy that night, but it did not go as far as I would’ve liked. Such is life.
We appear to have a brand new clue word today, in “nanny”. Our pal, ralis95, can add yet another one to his world famous clue word database. We’ve definitely seen the jumble “goyfg” sometime before, but the other three are coming up as new. No stumpers for me today. The answer letter layout was a fairly tough twelve letter jumble. It took me a few looks before I picked up on the pun.
The Brooklyn Bridge is definitely one of my favorite bridges. It has so much charm. Jeff did a great job in drawing it. It’s been a while since I last crossed it though. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
