Answer:  SHOOTING FOR IT

(I’m sure the non-Jumble people are all groaning over this answer, but folks like us just love a good stinky pun!  It’s one of the things we look forward to, every morning!  Who cares if some refer to it as lowbrow humor.  We know what we like, and we like what we like.

We are catching a break from new clue words lately, as they were all pretty familiar.  Three of the jumbles came up as new, with “ogyoe” having definitely been used before.  The answer letter layout was an admirable thirteen letter jumble.  But, the word SHOOTING was contained in the first eight letters of it.  Still cryptic though.  The cartoon really made the answer fairly obvious anyway.
