Clue/Question: When she found out how many calories were in her can of cola, it was – – –

Answer: “SODA–PRESSING“
(Even with the over-abundance of sugar they’re probably still healthier than diet sodas. Those artificial sweeteners they use are scary. And, they’re not fooling anybody. Well, at least not me. I can take one sip of a diet soda and taste the phoniness. Adherents say things like: Oh, you get used to it! or Regular soda tastes too sweet when you’re a diet drinker. Bleh! To me, diet soda tastes sweeter, but in an unnatural way. But, I fully acknowledge that sodas pack on the pounds. Which is why I drink water. On a rare occasion I’ll drink a ginger ale, usually 30 to 40 less calories.
There are no new clue words today. However, all four jumbles are coming up as new. They were all pretty good today too. As usual I hesitated on “casino”. I thought “arose” was right, but I wrote it in lightly. But, I really screwed up on “arplis”. I wrote down PLIARS! Thinking PLIERS. So, with the PLA – instead of the SPR – I came up with the answer: “SODA-PLEASING”! I didn’t really like it, but it fit. It wasn’t until WordPress flagged PLIARS that I realized my error. OY! Either way, great twelve letter jumble for the answer letter layout.
The cartoon does a great job of showing the ladies’ . . . displeasure! LOL! Try water with a wedge of lemon, or lime. Be well and do good, friends!) — YUR
