Jumble Spoiler – 12/19/19

Visual Description:  Getting picky about pictures.

Clue/Question:  The difficult decision between going with glossy or matte prints was a – – –

Answer:  PHOTO FINISH

(Yep!  It was a really close call.  And of course, a good stinky pun!  I know when it comes to those family Christmas cards these days matte seems to win out over glossy.  And, with the exception of these holiday cards, and wedding photos, we really don’t see all that many photographs printed out anymore.  They are just out there, in the digital world of cell phones and social media apps.  I bet George Eastman and Edwin Land are rolling in their graves!

All of today’s clue words came up as familiar old friends.  No need to bother ralis95.  However, all of their jumbles appear to be new.  The only one I hesitated on was “ccsout”.  But, my first childhood home was a “stucco” house.  And, back then it was real stucco, not the plastic stuff they use today.  Don’t ask me which one is better, because I don’t know.  The answer letter layout was a cryptic eleven letter jumble.  But, I had no problem getting the final answer.

The cartoon did a good job getting the point across.  That’s really all this Jumble required.  It’s a super cold one here today in the Northeast.  It was 9 degrees Fahrenheit when I woke up, with a windchill of -2.  And, in Massena, NY it was -6 degrees Fahrenheit, with a windchill of -23!  And, it’s not even Winter yet!  Stay warm, be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
