Clue/Question: She tried not eating for a few days to lose weight, but for her, it couldn’t – – –
Answer: END FAST ENOUGH
(I wouldn’t call this a stinky bun . . . er pun. And, not just because I’m a fan of burgers. It’s a fairly literate pun. Not eating – or fasting – is not really the same as “dieting”, but many people do do it in the hopes of losing weight. It’s not really an efficient way to lose weight too, but that’s besides the point.
Hoyt has given us a break from new clue words today. Ralis95 can go back to counting his money. Three of today’s jumbles appear to be new, with “measu” having definitely been used before. It took me a couple of looks to see “amuse”. Funny, huh? The answer letter layout was an impressive thirteen letter jumble. Definitely nothing obvious about it, in my opinion. The answer letter slots led me to the final answer.
Fine cartoon of a fast food joint. Maybe Jeff is a big fan of “Pulp Fiction”? I know I am. Is there an actual burger joint name Big Kahuna, or was it just made up for the movie? Hmm. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

This final answer gave me several minutes of trouble. I struggled to see where to start with it, other than a three-letter verb, which I thought could be GET. I also thought there’d be a noun somewhere, two dead ends. Finally I saw ENOUGH, quickly got FAST, and had END. Excellent clue, cartoon, pun and puzzle!
The middle word was FAST, UR, but I didn’t get it fast!
The clue/question was also a big help for me, because of “not eating”. That set me towards FAST. Two good players struggled on a day where I got it easily. Maybe I haven’t lost my touch! — YUR
Of course you haven’t lost your touch, Unc. And good catch on “not eating.” I only got the connection of that hint to FAST after unscrambling the letters.
