“He who is not friendly toward a good guest will never have one.” — Chinese Wisdom
(Inscrutable? Or are we not allowed to use that word to describe any person of the Asian persuasion? I remember being married to my beautiful Oriental wife, for many many years, and all of a sudden I woke up to an Asian wife! To this day, she still thinks it’s a little more than ridiculous, but there’s no arguing with the MPCP – the Militant Politically Correct Police. I thought it was a nice twist using Wisdom instead of Proverb. Maybe we’ll see this for other nationalities! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Clue/Question: She tried not eating for a few days to lose weight, but for her, it couldn’t – – –
Answer: END FAST ENOUGH
(I wouldn’t call this a stinky bun . . . er pun. And, not just because I’m a fan of burgers. It’s a fairly literate pun. Not eating – or fasting – is not really the same as “dieting”, but many people do do it in the hopes of losing weight. It’s not really an efficient way to lose weight too, but that’s besides the point.
Hoyt has given us a break from new clue words today. Ralis95 can go back to counting his money. Three of today’s jumbles appear to be new, with “measu” having definitely been used before. It took me a couple of looks to see “amuse”. Funny, huh? The answer letter layout was an impressive thirteen letter jumble. Definitely nothing obvious about it, in my opinion. The answer letter slots led me to the final answer.
Fine cartoon of a fast food joint. Maybe Jeff is a big fan of “Pulp Fiction”? I know I am. Is there an actual burger joint name Big Kahuna, or was it just made up for the movie? Hmm. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
