“A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.” —Hugh Downs
(I know it sounds sing-songy and trite, but if you have that attitude of gratitude you are generally going to be more of a happy person. Our old friend, Hugh Downs, is 98 – going on 99 – years old! I have always considered him to be a class act. Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR

(If you consider this a stinky pun . . . just put some lemon, or grapefruit, rinds down your disposal. Then this Jumble will be citrusy fresh!
Hoyt is going all out on giving us new clue words! Today he’s given us “slosh”. Our pal, ralis95, can add yet anther new word to his world famous clue word database! All of today’s jumbles are coming up as new too. I didn’t have a problem with any of them today though. The answer letter layout was a fine thirteen letter jumble. I saw AT, but other than that . . . it was fairly cryptic.
Fine period piece cartoon. It reminded me a little of the kitchen in “A Christmas Story”. I always watch that movie at least once each year, just like I watch “It’s a Wonderful Life”. The older I get, the more choked up I get when George Bailey gets his life back, leading up to the – improbable – mob scene in his house, singing Auld Lang Syne. And of course, I laugh myself silly throughout most of “A Christmas Story”. One of my college sweethearts married a guy who looks like the spitting image of a grown up Ralphie! I hope they are doing well. You too, guys. Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
