Visual Description: Great moments in latex!
NAAGI = AGAIN, HNWIC = WINCH, RILEDD = RIDDLE, TRWHAT = THWART — Giving us: AANINHIDDTHA
Clue/Question: Regarding the invention of latex surgical gloves in 1894, William Halstead – – –
Answer: HAD A HAND IN IT
(Definitely qualifies as a stinky pun! But here’s a rarity; after writing down the answer letter layout, seeing the answer slots, and glancing at the cartoon, I just knew the answer. And, this is before reading the clue/question, or reading the cartoon’s dialog. I don’t remember when that’s ever happened before.
We have two brand new clue words today, in “winch” and “riddle”! “Winch” was half expected, but “riddle” was kind of surprising. Looks like ralis95 has more to add to his world famous clue word database! All of today’s jumbles are coming up as new. A nice twelve letter jumble for the answer letter layout. But, something about was obvious to me today.
Another fine period piece cartoon. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of this guy, William Halstead, but hats off to him! Hey, “hats off to him” sounds like it would be a good Jumble answer! No charge, guys. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
