(Nothing stinky about a Thanksgiving Day pun! Today is a day for the pungent savory aromas of the sumptuous banquet of giving thanks. The thanks for family and friends, and simply for being alive. And hopefully, for remembering all those less fortunate than you. It’s a good time to reach out to those who may be alone, and let them know they matter.
All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends. Two of today’s jumbles came up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “chayt” and “caypfi” sometime before. They all came quickly for me. The answer letter layout was a modest seven letter jumble which got the job done.
A fine cross-generational family feast scene cartoon! The young son has typically loaded up on rolls and a little meat. Definitely a little picky, if he doesn’t like orange food. I wonder if he likes pumpkin pie? My favorite. I bet he’d pass on the sweet potato pie! Too orange, and a little too sweet for my taste too. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Jumble Spoiler followers! Be well, be thankful, and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. A special thanks to David L. Hoyt and Jeff Knurek, for continuing the great Jumble tradition. They’re a great team that give us great puzzle pleasure. — YUR
