Visual Description: Outdoor concert.
LANMOS = SALMON, DDDAEP = PADDED, HONKOU = UNHOOK, RVLEEC = CLEVER, COLEAL = LOCALE, SULHBE = BUSHEL — Giving us: SLNADDNOKEERCAEBS
Clue/Question: They ended the concert just before the storm hit, and the audience left with – – –
Pre-Answer: Two Words? (8-letters) “(1-letter)-(4-letters)-(4-letters)”
Answer: I DON’T HAVE A CLUE RECKLESS “A-BAND-DONE”
(This could be a stinky pun, or it could be something else. I don’t know. It could be a weather pun, or it could be music pun. It looks like it’s a Journey concert, for whatever that is worth. I don’t see any Journey song titles in those letters, but I’m not really their biggest fan, so I don’t know. Maybe a Journey/weather hybrid answer? You guys tell me what the answer is.
All of today’s’ clue words are familiar old friends. No need to disturb ralis95’s Sunday. Every one of the jumbles is coming up as new today. I had a little trouble with “unhook”. The other five came easily to me. The answer letter layout is a massive seventeen letter jumble. Even with the quotation marks and the hyphens in the final answer slots, I came up with nothing.
Nice cartoon of an outdoor rock concert. No one looks too upset that the band won’t be back for an encore. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not getting it. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. At least I was right that it wasn’t weather or Journey/music related! I’ll try to do better next time. — YUR

I always enjoy your thoughts on the puzzles!
Today’s jumble answer:
Reckless “a-band-done”
Keep up the great work!
RECKLESS “A-BAND-DONE”
I was thinking this would be my second failure of 2019. I was all over the map trying to figure this one out. I thought the band logo was for Aerosmith (my best image is very low resolution) and I was looking for some song title. My first guess for the first word was DARKNESS. I was looking for a weather or band related message. Turns out it was both.
After my first reply, I looked at the other solution site which can access a color version that is also MUCH larger and higher resolution than the pathetic B+W print or online images I have. Turns out the band in the cartoon is Journey. It really made no difference to the way I solved it in the long run.
Thank you, Laurie, and then Gary twice!
I can see how the letters fit, and the pun on ABANDON. Other than the words of the cartoon dialog, I guess I thought the audience members looked relatively calm. I wasn’t getting the RECKLESS vibe. Just me, I guess.
Thanks again, friends!

I put….Needless “A Rock Band” but had a feeling it wasn’t quite right. Tough one today!
The cartoon sure didn’t help. If the people had been running, leaving things behind, it might have made sense. I feel stupid at not at least seeing “band ” in the word mix.
Guess it’s good to get a puzzle that shakes us up once in a while.
Marie
Reckless a band done I couldn’t get it either. My sister is a genius.

SRY UR but this is for 11/18/2019…..Is it me or is the simple word “EXERT” rarely used anymore or is it just me??….
Example: Gravity puts alot of “FORCE” throughout the universe…..¿
Compared to: Gravity “EXERTs” a lot of “FORCE”
throughout the universe!!
The first example and others pertaining to the the subject of the English language shrinking;
seem to me to be slowly happening? *….Or is it just me??

At least you put something together, Jennifer! Much better than me! — YUR
Considering I was extremely late in posting the spoiler for the 11/18/19 Jumble, I can’t fault you for commenting prior to its posting, Ken. Yes, I agree with you. the word EXERT is not used all that much these days. I know I certainly do not use it often. I think the English language is kind of a zero sum game. New words keep getting added all the time, while other words seem to fall out of favor/usage. I don’t necessarily like either side of it. Some of the new words are kind of annoying and stupid, in my opinion. While the loss of some older words is both silly and sad. Some of it could be due to “political correctness”, but most of it is just do to the ever changing times. I guess you can fight some of it, but change is going to happen whether we like it or not. Languages are a fluid thing.
Thanks for the comment. — YUR
UR,
THX for such an interesting fact – filled reply….
Not to be negative but this is another bad trend
for the USA…… No comment necessary for “Political Correctness”
